Jean Koeninger holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University and is a licensed associate counselor (LAC) in Arkansas (#A2010146).

Jean’s clinical focus is on treating depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and substance use disorders. She sees adults aged 18 and older and specializes in working with active duty and/or retired military service members and their dependents.
Jean’s clinical experience includes an inpatient crisis stabilization unit, residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities, group and individual therapy with survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and private practice. Jean utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with adults experiencing adverse effects from grief or other painful life experiences.
Jean grew up in a military family and has lived in many different locations and experienced many different cultures. In her spare time, she loves to cook, read, and go on long walks with her beloved German Shepherd, Lilly. Jean also has a background in geology and has found that connection to the natural beauty of Arkansas can be very healing and therapeutic.
