Brian holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University and is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of Arkansas (# A2401024). He is also approved for telehealth counseling through a HIPPA compliant video counseling platform.

Brian operates from a person-centered perspective, which means he views people as inherently positive with the power to self-formulate solutions when given support, acceptance, and the right environment. He also views people and relationships through an attachment lens, which means he sees humans as hard-wired for connection with others. Brian sees change in therapy taking place through new “felt experiences” that have potential to shift one’s relationships with self and others.

    From Brian:

“I work through types of therapy, like Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals and couples, that foster a new “felt experience” capable of tapping into your internal power to change in ways that better meet your wants and needs. Ironically, a willingness on your part to acknowledge and start where you are today can be the biggest step in moving out of the current “stuck” place”.

Brian has training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for both couples and individuals. Brian has experience working with couples who have lost connection in their relationship and feel they are in desperate need of change. Brian has seen incredible change in his clients struggling with anxiety, depression, a history of trauma and abuse, bereavement/grief/loss, gender questioning, divorce, low self-esteem, shame, and tough family dynamics.

Things can change. Your relationships can improve. You can feel more like yourself again. You can feel safer. Brian would be honored to walk with you as you work to create the shift you desire in your life. Take advantage of our 15-minute phone consultation to see if we might be a fit.

Brian enjoys spending time with family and friends either at home or in the great outdoors. In his spare time, you will often find Brian riding his motorcycle or mountain bike, or golfing with his wife and kids.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
